Not One More Dad Deported for the Holidays! Release Carlos, Artyom and Jose! Not One More Dad Deported for the Holidays! Release Carlos, Artyom and Jose! Carlos A. Hidalgo (A# 092-952-155), Artyom Karapetyan (A# 096-655-031) and Jose Santos Maltez (A# 95658213) all have something in common: they are fathers currently detained at the Adelanto Detention Center in Adelanto CA. They are the main providers and caretakers to minors yet ICE still believes that these fathers should be deported. Tell ICE that we’ve Had Enough! NO MORE FAMILY SEPARATION! WE WANT OUR FATHERS HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS! #not1more #freeCA We are demanding the immediate release of Carlos A. Hidalgo (A# 092-952-155), Artyom Karapetyan (A# 096-655-031) and Jose Santos Maltez (A# 95658213) who are all currently detained in Adelanto, CA. All three of these men are fathers to minors and according to the recent Parental Directive by Acting Director John Sandweg, parents such as Carlos and Artyom would be given attention and discretion. These 3 are parents to minor children who are US Citizens or Lawful Permanent Residents and need to be released so that their detention does not interfere with their parental rights & duties. Jose Santos Maltez has been in the US for over 10 years and originally from Nicaragua married a U.S Citizen, has four children who are also U.S citizens who is the ONLY financial support that his family has. In 2009, jose had an altercation with his mother in law at a family gathering. His mother-in-law pressed charges for harassment after having felt he was verbally disrespectful, the police arrested Jose and placed a "sexual abuse" charge on his record. Jose (wrongfully) served over five months in county jail, participated in classes and completed a certificate; ICE is still detaining him and has placed him in deportation proceedings as of march of 2013. Artyom Karapetyan is a 37 year old green-card holder Armenian business owner who is a father of 2 US High School residents. Artyom suffers a serious medical condition of Fibromyalgia for which he only recently began to get treatment for in a nearby hospital. He’s been fighting his struggle with alcohol (including attending Alcoholics Anonymous) all in order to be a better father to his two kids. He awaits the status of his Humanitarian Parole. Carlos A. Hidalgo, father of two kids, has been in the U.S. for over 10 years. His daughter who is a minor depends on Carlos for financial and emotional support. He now faces removal from this country for a non-violent crime even though he himself was the victim of a crime and now only waits for his U-VISA certification from the Azuza Police Department. We ask that you immediately release Carlos A. Hidalgo, Artyom Karapetyan, and Jose Santos Maltez so that they can be with their family for the Holidays. Please sign the petition and share!
