Sign for Better Protections for Immigrant Families in Connecticut

On April 16th, Connecticut implemented a new policy determining who gets detained under the Secure Communities deportation program. The new policy still leaves thousands at risk of being targeted for racial profiling and family separation. Under the policy, the State will continue to hold individuals for purely immigration purposes even if they haven't committed a crime or for very minor offenses.

So far Governor Malloy has refused to meet with the community to address our concerns about the shortcomings of this policy. That's why we're asking you to contact Connecticut State Reps & Senators to urge the Governor to revisit and substantially revise the new Department of Correction policy.

Please click here to contact key officials and urge them to write to the Governor and raise the communities' concerns and and better protect us all from wrongful S-Comm deportations in Connecticut.
